McDermott in driving seat for Leeds job
After Neil Warnock announced he was to step down as Leeds boss with immediate effect, William Hill immediately made Brian McDermott the 3/1 favourite to get the job and this morning, the former Reading manager is now 5/4 to take the hotseat at Elland Road. Martin O'Neill is the 9/2 second favourite, with the much vaunted Gus Poyet 7/1 third.
Neil Redfearn is currently in temporary charge of Leeds and he is 14/1 to bag the role.
"There are some reputable names at the top of the betting for the Leeds job and despite an absence of Premier League football for almost 10 years, the club still has a sufficient enough draw to grab a top manager," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
