Midweek Euro League Opta Facts

Serie A

Napoli v Cagliari

Napoli and Cagliari have met 57 times in Serie A: the Partenopei lead by 21 wins to 13, with 23 draws.

Napoli are unbeaten in their last nine games against Cagliari in the league (W5 D4).

Napoli have scored an average of 3.7 goals over their last three games won against Cagliari at the San Paolo.

Last Saturday against Inter, Napoli shared their first 0-0 draw of the season. That was their first goalless draw since February 2013.

Cagliari have now won back-to-back Serie A games for the first time since February 2013; the last time the Sardinians won three in a row was in October 2012.

Cagliari won their last away game, two weeks ago, at the Marassi against Genoa; that was their first win on the road of this campaign.

The next victory for Cagliari will be their 350th win in Serie A.

Cagliari have conceded 12 headed goals, more than any other Serie A side this season.

Napoli have made the most passes in the opposition half so far in this Serie A (on average 306 per game).

Marek Hamsik has found the net in four of his 12 previous games against Cagliari. However, he hasn't scored now for 16 league appearances, his longest ever scoring drought in Serie A.

Mauricio Pinilla's last four goals have all come from the penalty spot.

Fiorentina v Sassuolo

The reverse fixture - won by the Viola 1-0 - is the only previous meeting between these two sides in Serie A.

Fiorentina have won three of their last four league games, losing the other against Roma.

The Viola have drawn only one of their last 10 fixtures in the league.

At home, the Tuscans have alternated between a loss and a win over their last five games - they lost 1-0 against Roma the last at the Franchi.

Last Monday against Juventus, Sassuolo lost their 21st game of the season - only Catania and Livorno (22) have lost more.

The Emiliani have won their last two away games, without conceding a goal; previously, they had won only one out of 15 games on the road in Serie A.

Sassuolo have already conceded five own goals - a negative record in this competition.

35 of Fiorentina's 59 total goals have been scored by midfielders - a Serie A-high.

Fiorentina have scored nine goals from the penalty spot, more than any other side this season in Serie A.

Juan Guillermo Cuadrado has scored four goals and made an assist over his last four league appearances.

The Colombian has bagged nine goals so far this term, after he had netted just eight over his previous four seasons in Italy.

La Liga

Real Valladolid v Real Madrid

Valladolid have only won one (1-0 in 2008) of their last six meetings against Real Madrid at home (D2 L3).

The Merengues have defeated Valladolid in their last six La Liga clashes. However, they have never won seven in a row.

Real Madrid have scored exactly four goals in four of their last five La Liga games against Real Valladolid.

The team from Pucela have avoided defeat in each of their last 10 La Liga games at home (W5 D5); their best run in the top flight since 2001 (14 games).

Real Madrid have scored at least one goal in their last 24 La Liga games on the road. Indeed, the last time they failed to score was in February 2013 in Granada (1-0).

It is the fifth consecutive La Liga season that Real Madrid have scored 100+ goals.

Valladolid have only won one point in the last 10 minutes this season. Only Atletico de Madrid have won fewer points (0).

Gareth Bale has scored one perfect hat-trick in La Liga this season (right-footed goal, left-footed and headed) and it was in the reverse fixture against Valladolid.

Juan Ignacio Martinez has managed five La Liga games against Real Madrid as coach (W1, L4), conceding 15 goals in the process.

Rukavina's goal against Espanyol is the first Valladolid goal scored from outside of the box at José Zorrilla Stadium in La Liga (free kicks excluded).

Ligue 1

Paris SG v Rennes

PSG have won three of their last four league meetings with Rennes (L1).

PSG have won only once in their last six home league games against Rennes (D2, L3).

PSG have scored in each of their last 25 home league games, the best current streak in the top division.

PSG are unbeaten in their last 29 home league games (W24, D5), Rennes being the last team to win in Paris (1-2), back in November 2012.

PSG are the only team yet to concede a goal at home in Ligue 1 in 2014.

Rennes have won only four of their last 19 Ligue 1 games (D7, L8).

PSG have won 50% of their competitive games without Zlatan Ibrahimovic starting this season (1.6 pt/game), winning 78.6% with him in the starting XI (2.5 pt/game).

Romain Alessandrini has scored in each of his two games against PSG in Ligue 1 (2 goals).
