Monday night La Liga - Deportivo v Getafe

In this live on Sky video clash at 20:00 UK time, Deportivo face a Getafe side that had to work hard to beat Odense in the Europa League on Thursday evening. Without European competition to worry about their selves, can the Galacians make their longer rest period count for something and beat the Azulones tonight?

Probably not is the honest answer, for Deportivo (11/8) have played two and drawn two. Factor in also that both games have ended in 0-0 stalemates (that scoreline is priced at 7/1 tonight) and you have to give strong credibility to another scoreless draw.

However, you must also consider that each of the two Monday night Primera Liga clashes we have seen so far this season have had four goals per game. A 0-0 scoreline hardly fits in with that!

So, we have two plausible theories for the goal count tonight: Over 3.5 goals is priced at 17/5, while the more likely on paper under 2.5 goals is available at 4/7 - The choice is yours.

Further choice is available in the goalscorers market, in which former Deportivo striker/winger Arizmendi will be keen to get one over on his former employers.

Arizmendi certainly has form to his name as he scored twice in Getafe's 2-1 home win over Odense; sadly only one of them was past former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll!

Without own goals to their names are the skilful Getafe (2/1) tandem of winger Gavilan - who scored twice in Getafe's 4-1 home defeat of Levante last weekend - and striker Colunga - who also scored in the defeat of Levante.

As mentioned earlier, Deportivo have failed to score in La Liga this season so I will not be listing any of their players for your consideration until the net bulges in their favour.

My final offering for consideration is the both teams to score market: Team that has yet to score vs team that does not score many away and is tired should equate to the "no" option (priced at 8/11).

Given 0-0 kings Deportivo's rugged, hard working away stalemate with Sevilla last weekend, my mind was made up there and then. Is yours?

Recommendation: draw (9/4)

Worth a punt: 0-0 (priced at 7/1)

Enjoy the action and don't forget that you can bet in-play with William Hill Online.
