North-west trio bankers to progress

The north-west trio of Oldham, Rochdale and Stockport all look likely to progress to the second round of the FA Cup.

John Sheridan's Oldham are at home to Martin Allen's Cheltenham. The original tie ended in a 2-2 draw at Whaddon Road. Since then the sides have had differing fortunes.

Oldham won 1-0 away at Northampton whilst Cheltenham lost 3-0 away at relegation rivals Hereford. Oldham are 1/2 shots to win the replay at Boundary Park.

Fellow League 1 side Stockport welcome strugglers Yeovil to Edgeley Park. Remarkably the two sides have only ever faced each once, the original tie which ended 1-1.

In the League 1 table Stockport sit in 9th with Yeovil down in 21st with ten points separating the two sides. Stockport must be fancied as Yeovil have only scored seven goals all season in league matches.

The Hatters are 3/4 favourites to win the match with Yeovil available at 18/5 and the draw at 13/5.

North-west neighbours Rochdale face Barnet in their all-League 2 first round replay at Spotland. Dale are a side in form as they have not lost in seven league matches.

The results have seen Rochdale climb the table and they are now up to fourth.

Barnet on the other hand are without a win in six matches. In their last match they were thumped 4-0 at home to Notts County.

If it was not for the minus points trio of Bournemouth, Luton and Rotherham, Barnet would currently be second from bottom.

Rochdale can be backed at 8/13 for victory, with the Bees available at 9/2 and the draw at 14/5.

All three home sides look very backable and although not at very good value odds on their own, all three teams in a treble certainly appeals.

A £10 treble on Oldham, Rochdale and Stockport would pay returns of £42.40 which is too good to miss.
