FCA are back at the bottom of the table for the first time since matchday 14 of the 2012/13 season. It's the first time Borussia have been last in the Bundesliga table since matchday 2 of the 2007/08 campaign.
Augsburg's first BL home game last season (on matchday 1) also saw them host BVB and they suffered the biggest home defeat in their top-flight history (4-0).
FCA haven't beaten Dortmund in any of their six competitive meetings (four defeats).
The season has started with two competitive defeats for Augsburg, something that last happened in 2007/08, when the then second-division side lost their first three competitive games.

With three goals and two assists (in three games), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been involved in the most BVB goals in competitive games this season. The Gabon international became the first Dortmund player to score a hat-trick on their BL debut on matchday 1 in 2013/14.
SV Werder Bremen - TSG 1899 Hoffenheim
Bremen have lost just one of their 13 competitive matches against Hoffenheim (W8, D4). They suffered a 4-1 Bundesliga defeat in Sinsheim on 21st August 2010.
Werder have collected a respectable seven points from their last three home games and have even scored in each of their last eight games at the Weserstadion.
Hoffenheim have won just one of their last 10 Bundesliga away games (D4, L5) and have now been waiting 22 BL away matches for a clean sheet - currently the longest run of its kind in the league.
TSG have won their last three competitive games on a run stretching back to last season, something they last managed in summer 2013 - back then it was a four-game winning streak.
The 2-0 win over Augsburg was Hoffenheim's second consecutive clean sheet in a competitive match, something they last managed in March 2013. They kept just five clean sheets in 38 competitive games in 2013/14.

Oliver Baumann is the 10th goalkeeper that has featured in the Bundesliga for Hoffenheim. His predecessors have only made an average of 23 BL appearances for TSG.
Sport-Club Freiburg - Borussia Mönchengladbach
Against no other current Bundesliga side have SC Freiburg collected as many points at home on average as they have against Gladbach (2.15 per game). They have won each of their last five home meetings with Borussia.
Gladbach have won just two of their last 11 competitive games against Freiburg (D3, L6). They have netted just seven goals in their last 10 BL games against SCF, failing to find the back of the net in five of those matches.

(Correct ahead of the Europa League play-off match vs. Sarajevo)
In Roman Bürki and Yann Sommer, two of the goalkeepers battling for the number 1 spot in the Switzerland national team will go head to head. Freiburg's Admir Mehmedi and Gladbach's Granit Xhaka also took part at the World Cup with Switzerland.
New Gladbach signing Andre Hahn could make his 50th Bundesliga appearance during the match in Freiburg. He scored 12 goals in 48 matches for Augsburg, before making his debut for Borussia during their 1-1 draw with Stuttgart on matchday 1.
On 20th September 2009, SC Freiburg won 4-0 against a Hertha Berlin side coached by Lucien Favre. It remains the current Gladbach manager's biggest home defeat in the Bundesliga.
Hamburger SV - SC Paderborn 07
These two sides have met twice before in competitive fixtures, both times in the first round of the DFB Cup. HSV won 3-1 in Paderborn in 1996/97. The second meeting was won 4-2 by SCP in 2004/05. However, referee Robert Hoyzer later admitted to match fixing.
Hamburger SV have been waiting nine competitive matches for a win. Their last four games have ended in draws.
Paderborn haven't lost any of their last six league games (W4, D2), scoring twice in each match. Their last defeat was on matchday 29 at home to Düsseldorf (2-1).
HSV kept a clean sheet on matchday 1 after a run of conceding in 12 consecutive BL games.
Only Hannover 96 (40.0%) have a better chance-conversion rate than SC Paderborn 07 (33.3%).

SCP manager Andre Breitenreiter played for HSV between 1994 and 1997, scoring 12 goals in 71 BL appearances.
If Mirko Slomka loses the home game against Paderborn, he will have a record of three wins, three draws and nine defeats after 15 BL games in the HSV dugout - his predecessor Bert van Marwijk was fired in February with the exact same record.
Slomka has never waited as long for a competitive win during his managerial career in the BL. He went eight competitive matches without a win at 96 between September and November 2013 - his current run of nine successive winless games is his worst ever.
Mirko Slomka didn't make a single change on matchday 1. The last time that a Bundesliga manager played through 90 minutes with his starting XI was on matchday 10 of the 2011/12 season - Robin Dutt's Leverkusen side lost 1-0 to Schalke back then.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen - Hertha BSC
Bayer Leverkusen are unbeaten in their last six matches against Hertha. After a run of four successive draws, they won both meetings during the 2013/14 season. Berlin's last win over Leverkusen was a 1-0 home victory in March 2009.
Leverkusen lead the Bundesliga table together with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Bayer 04 last topped the standings on matchday 23 of the 2009/10 season.
Bayer 04 are unbeaten in their last six Bundesliga games (W5, D1). The last time they put a longer undefeated run together was between March and August 2013 (11 games - W9, D2).
Berlin haven't won any of their last six away games in the top flight (D2, L4). Their last victory on the road was a 2-1 win over Stuttgart in February.
Karim Bellarabi's opening goal against BVB after nine seconds was the quickest goal in Bundesliga history. Bayer 04 also scored the fastest goal last season, when Kießling netted after 40 seconds in their most recent meeting with Hertha.
All four goals that Hertha have conceded in competitive games this season have come between the 53rd and 67th minute.
Hertha are on the verge of their 400th Bundesliga defeat. Alongside 399 losses, they have also recorded 383 wins and 265 draws in their 1,047 top-flight games.

matchday 1. The former BVB striker went without a goal in 12 appearances for Dortmund last season.
Jens Hegeler switched Leverkusen for Hertha during the summer. Hegeler made 48 Bundesliga appearances over four seasons for Bayer 04 (three goals, three assists). Johannes van den Bergh and Hajime Hosogai are also former Leverkusen players.
Stefan Kießling didn't just score the final goal in Leverkusen's 2-0 win in Dortmund on matchday 1, but he was also involved in the most challenges on the opening weekend (60, winning 50% of them) and had the most touches of the ball of all Bayer 04 players (70).
1.FSV Mainz 05 - Hannover 96
Mainz have lost just one of their last seven competitive games against
Hannover 96 (W3, D3). The only defeat came exactly one year ago, on 31st August 2013 in Hannover (4-1).
Hannover have started the campaign with two competitive wins for the fourth season in a row.
96 have won each of their last two Bundesliga away games. Another win in Mainz would see them equal their club record in the BL from the 2006/07 season.
The 05ers are also set to match a club record: Mainz have won their last four home games. The only time they have won more on the spin was between August and September 2009.
Hannover have collected 16 of a possible 18 points from their last six BL games - only Bayer 04 Leverkusen can boast the same record.
Mainz have already conceded 10 goals in their four competitive matches this season, all of which have come from the 30th minute onwards.
With an average of 1.5 points per game, Tayfun Korkut is the most successful manager in Hannover 96's Bundesliga history.
New signing Joselu has scored three of Hannover's five competitive goals this season.
Shinji Okazaki is only the second Japanese player to score 26 BL goals. Yasuhiko Okudera is the only Japanese player to reach that tally in Germany's top flight (for 1. FC Köln and Werder Bremen between 1977 and 1986).
Leon Andreasen was on loan at Mainz from Bremen during the second half of 2006/07 and played 15 games for the 05ers (4 goals).
FC Schalke 04 - FC Bayern München
Bayern have won their last seven games against Schalke, their longest winning streak against the Royal Blues. If FCB beat S04 on matchday 2, they would become the first club to record four successive Bundesliga wins away at Schalke.
Schalke have lost their first two competitive games of the season for the first time in 16 years - that last happened in 1998 under Huub Stevens. The last time they suffered three straight competitive defeats at the start of a campaign was in 1987 under Rolf Schafstall.

a 1-0 defeat at FC Augsburg on matchday 29 last season.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has scored nine times in his last 11 Bundesliga games. His tally of 11 goals makes him the most prolific BL goalscorer in 2014 together with Josip Drmic.
Manuel Neuer has won all six of his Bundesliga games against his former club, conceding just one goal. He was at Schalke between 1991 and 2011, making
156 BL appearances for the Royal Blues.
Bayern's Jerome Boateng is the half-brother of Schalke's Kevin-Prince Boateng. They played together at Hertha BSC for 2 BL games in 2007. There was a 2-2 draw between Jerome's Germany and Kevin-Prince's Ghana during the 2014 World Cup group phase.

Jens Keller has lost all three of his BL games against Bayern as a manager, with his sides scoring once and letting in 13.
VfB Stuttgart - !. FC Köln
Köln have their noses in front in the head-to-head record, with 33 wins to Stuttgart's 26 (23 draws), making VfB the team that the Billy Goats have secured the most victories against in their Bundesliga history.
This match-up hasn't seen a home win in the Bundesliga since October 2000. There have been seven draws in the last 15 meetings, with the visitors taking all three points home in the other eight fixtures.
Köln are unbeaten in their last nine Bundesliga games away at VfB (W5, D4). They have only had a record like that once before in the top flight (1981-1991 away at Karlsruher SC). Should 1. FC Köln get at least a point in Stuttgart, they would set a new club record in the BL.
Stuttgart have dropped points in their last three Bundesliga games due to last-minute goals. Christoph Kramer denied VfB victory in Gladbach, while they suffered last-minute defeats to Bayern and Wolfsburg at the end of last season.
1. FC Köln set a new record in the second division during 2013/14, conceding just 20 goals in 34 games. They were also solid at the back in the Bundesliga opener: Timo Horn saved all four shots that were on target.
The Billy Goats haven't won any of their last 10 Bundesliga games (D3, L7). Their last victory in the top flight came in a 1-0 win over Hertha during March 2012.
Köln have lost each of their last five BL away games. Their last point on the road came in a 1-1 draw at Hoffenheim in March 2012.
VfB Stuttgart have won just one of their last six BL matches (D3, L3) - a 3-1 victory over FC Schalke 04 on matchday 31 last season.
No side had a worse tackle-success rate on matchday 1 than VfB (44.8%) - Köln were only a little better though with 45.2% of challenges won (16th).
New Köln signing Simon Zoller returns to his former club. Zoller was in VfB's youth setup in 2006/07, before joining SSV Ulm 1846's youth department. He signed for Köln from Kaiserslautern this summer.
VfL Wolfsburg - Eintracht Frankfurt
Frankfurt have won just two of their last 17 Bundesliga meetings with Wolfsburg (D8, L7). On top of that, Eintracht have been victorious in only one of their
12 away games at the Wolves (D4, L7).
Against no other current Bundesliga team have Eintracht collected fewer points on average than they have against Wolfsburg (0.83 per game).
VfL are unbeaten in their last five home games (W3, D2). Their last defeat in their own stadium was a 6-1 thumping against Bayern in early March.

Wolfsburg have scored in each of their last 27 league games. However, VfL haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 15 matches. They are both currently the longest runs in the league.
Ivica Olic has had a hand in eight goals in his last eight Bundesliga games, scoring six and setting up the other two.
Eintracht defender Carlos Zambrano won all seven of his challenges on
matchday 1, making him the outright league leader in that statistic.
New VfL signing Aaron Hunt made 184 Bundesliga appearances for Bremen under current Frankfurt manager Thomas Schaaf (39 goals, 27 assists).
While in charge of Werder, Thomas Schaaf inflicted both the heaviest home defeat and away defeat on Wolfsburg in their Bundesliga history (7-2 in Wolfsburg in 1999/2000, a 6-1 in Bremen in 2005/06).
Sebastian Jung moved from Frankfurt to Wolfsburg during the summer. He made 115 BL appearances for the Eagles, scoring two goals and assisting a further 10.
