Osasuna to snap losing streak - Betting Preview
Osasuna v Elche, 20:00
Despite taking the lead through Roberto Torres (15/2 to score first, 9/4 anytime), bottom club Osasuna (19/20) couldn't snap their losing streak, going down 2-1 away to Getafe. Unfortunately, the momentum change a new coach often brings didn't work with my Osasuna double chance bet, but at least they took the lead.
Elche (16/5), in a game bereft of clear cut chances, drew 0-0 at home to Valladolid last weekend. It was a result that moved Fran Escriba's side up to 15th position in the league table.
In their first league road game of 2013/14, Elche were beaten to nil by a Rayo side who have since twice lost 5-0, while Los Franjiverdes were gifted at least one of their goals when drawing 2-2 away to an Almeria side that has scored and conceded in every game they've played so far this season.
So, I've concluded that Elche are a poor side who won't score many goals in away games unless their opponents donate them. Osasuna, however, are also a poor side who won't find the net often, but they have home advantage, a need to impress their new coach - and I'm giving them one more chance against a side they should be able to beat in Pamplona.
Worth a punt: Osasuna (19/20)
