Cardiff City v Aston Villa

  • Cardiff are yet to win back to back Barclays Premier League home games since their promotion.
  • Aston Villa have won seven of their last eight matches in all competitions against Cardiff City (W7 L1).
  • In Aston Villa's last 11 Premier League away games they have either conceded exactly two goals (seven times) or kept a clean sheet (four times).
  • Nine different players have scored for Cardiff at the Cardiff City Stadium this season, but only one of these has netted more than once there (Fraizer Campbell - 4).
  • Cardiff have lost five of their last six Premier League games, four of which have come under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (W1).
  • Aston Villa have lost seven of their last 11 Premier League games, winning just twice in this run (W2 D2 L7).
  • Cardiff City have conceded a Premier League-high nine headed goals in 2013-14 so far.

  • The Black Cats have kept four clean sheets in their last six Barclays Premier League away matches.
  • Manchester City have not lost back to back Premier League home games since December 2008.
  • The Citizens have only kept one clean sheet in their last five Premier League home matches, shipping seven goals in total during this run.
  • Sunderland have gone six on the road without defeat in the Premier League (W3 D3 L0) - this after winning just one point in their eight PL away games (D1 L7) prior to this run.

  • The Potters have gone five home league games without a clean sheet - this after keeping four in their previous six at the Britannia Stadium.
  • Peter Crouch has scored three goals in his two previous Premier League appearances against Swansea at the Britannia Stadium.
  • Swansea have scored just two goals in their last six Premier League away games, despite attempting 47 shots at goal in these six matches.
  • Charlie Adam has scored in three of his last four Premier League games at the Britannia Stadium.
  • Overall, Adam has either scored (3) or assisted (3) six of Stoke's last 11 Premier League goals. He also had the shot that led to Michael Carrick's own goal against Manchester United during this run.
  • 38 % of Stoke City's Premier League goals this season have come from outside the box (10 of 26) - a higher proportion than any other side.
  • Wilfried Bony has scored eight goals in the Premier League this season, but all eight have come in home matches for Swansea City.

  • Daniel Sturridge scored his only previous Premier League hat-trick in Liverpool's last trip to Craven Cottage to play Fulham (3-1 in May 2013).
  • Darren Bent has scored five Premier League goals against Liverpool, perhaps the most famous in a 1-0 win while playing for Sunderland (Oct 2009), where his shot was deflected into the net by a beach ball thrown from the crowd.
  • Darren Bent has now equalled his Premier League goal tally from 2012-13 (3), but all three of his goals this season have come after coming on as a substitute.
  • Liverpool have scored a league-high 10 goals from headers this season, but only two of these have come in away matches (both by Daniel Sturridge).
  • No side has conceded a higher number (15) or proportion (27%) of their goals from outside the box this season in the Premier League than Fulham.
