Burnley v Newcastle United

  • Burnley and Newcastle United have not met in any competition since the 1982-83 season. This will be the first top flight meeting since 1975-76.
  • The Magpies have lost four of their last five trips to Turf Moor in the league, including the last three in a row (W1).
  • Burnley have won as many points in their last three PL games (7) as they had in their previous 14 matches in the competition combined.

  • Olivier Giroud has scored three goals in his last two Premier League games against the Saints.

  • Arsene Wenger has come up against Ronald Koeman on seven occasions, winning just one match, drawing four and losing two.
  • Arsenal have been trailing at some point in five of their six Premier League games at the Emirates Stadium this season.
