Rangers 7/1 For Cup Glory After Home Tie In Third Round

The draw for the William Hill Scottish Cup was made at Hamilton Park on 1st October and the standout tie sees Rangers hosting Alloa Athletic (managed by former Celtic player Paul Hartley).

The tournament sponsors make Rangers 1/25 to win the match and 7/1 to win the whole competition. Alloa are offered at 14/1 and the draw is 9/1. “There are a number of exciting ties for the third round of the William Hill Scottish Cup, but all eyes will be immediately drawn to Rangers, who, despite their league position are second favourites to go all the way this year,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

After exiting the Cup at the fifth round stage last season, Rangers are 7/2 to do so again this season. Rangers are 4/1 for a semi final exit at Hampden and 11/2 to lose in the final. It is 5/2 that Rangers meet Celtic at any point during the William Hill Scottish Cup.

Inverurie Loco Works are 3/1 favourites to progress furthest of all the non league sides still left in the competition although they are 10/3 to win what looks like a tricky tie against Arbroath.
