Rovers return for Souness?
Blackburn Rovers have sacked Paul Ince as manager following just 17 Premier League matches in charge.
Ince leaves Blackburn with the side one from the bottom in the Premier League table with just three wins and 13 points after going 12 matches without a win.
Ex-Rovers boss Graeme Souness is currently the even money favourite to take over from Ince in the Ewood Park hotseat. Souness was in charge at Blackburn between 2000 and 2004 before he departed for the lure of the Newcastle job.
Souness has been out of a job since being sacked by Newcastle in 2006.
Sam Allardyce who invariably appears in next manager betting markets is the second favourite at odds of 11/4. Big Sam is also the favourite in our next Sunderland manager betting.
After Allardyce comes ex-Charlton and West Ham manager Alan Curbishley. Curbs is a 5/1 fancy and surely will look to get back in the game sooner rather than later following resignation from his West Ham post earlier this season.
Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is a 10/1 shot as is current FC Twente and ex-England gaffer Steve McClaren. Israeli Avram Grant who has been without a job since leaving Chelsea could attract some interest at 12/1.
Blackburn's 1995 title winning manager Kenny Dalglish is available at 20/1 as is his star striker from that side and Rovers legend Alan Shearer. Although Shearer has previously stated he was not interested in the manager's job at his beloved Newcastle so it is very unlikely that he would take the Blackburn job.
