Saturday's La Liga previews

Sevilla v Almeria 17:00 - Sky Sports 1

As you were last week with Sevilla (4/9) as they lost to Barca (as expected) and nobody is back from injury. Almeria (6/1) cost me more than a few quid by failing to beat Tenerife, but they don't score many goals and I can't account for them being a goal and a man down when planning a bet.

Given Sevilla's injuries up front, this sounds like a low scoring game on paper (under 2.5 goals is 10/11) and the draw looks like a decent punt at 14/5.

I've had mixed success with handicaps but this could be a suitable candidate, so Almeria +1 (11/8) and + 2 (2/5) are worth your consideration.

It must be said that Sevilla have been losing to lesser teams at home recently and will be mentally and physically tired after their series with Barca, so don't rule anything out.

You can always watch a few minutes of the game, make a judgement and bet in play.

Valladolid v Barcelona 19:00 - Sky Sports 1

Valladolid (8/1) were guilty of going against form by drawing with Racing last week, but you can't see them getting anything out of this fixture.

It may take Barcelona (1/4) a while to score against a team who will likely put ten men behind the ball and punt long balls up to their loan striker Diego Costa (10/1 to score first or 7/2 anytime), but Messi is likely to make the breakthrough eventually and can be backed at 3/1 to score first or 8/11 to score at anytime.

It was nice to see Pedro (5/4 to score at anytime) score last week, but will he start?

Surely an away win.

Deportivo La Coruna v Athletic Bilbao 21:00 - Sky Sports 1

Deportivo (evens) have injuries to key players like Guardado and coming off the back of a great comeback to eliminate Valencia in the cup, succumbed to the home form of mighty Mallorca last weekend.

Athletic (5/2) did will to beat Real Madrid last week and results like that should be enjoyed by the neutral rather than bet against. I spoil my own enjoyment and the romance of an upset be doing this and I'm going to stop even if I desperately want to be correct in my article picks!

In this game I am simply not sure of the outcome, but if forced to choose would lean towards a draw (9/4). Maybe Athletic have the confidence to do more, maybe last week appeased them enough? Perhaps it's best to bet in play.

Whatever you choose, if you're looking for a scorer, Llorente is Athletic's talisman and offers their best goal threat. He is 7/1 to score first or 2/1 to score at anytime.

Enjoy the action and don't forget that you can bet in play with William Hill Online
