Bologna - Empoli


These two teams have met eight times in Serie A: the Tuscans won for the first time in the last meeting (2-0 at home in May 2004) - previously, they had lost three times and drawn four.

All three of Bologna's wins against Empoli in Serie A have come at home, with one draw in the only other match played at the Dall'Ara.

Only Juventus (18) and Inter (15) have picked up more points than Bologna and Empoli (13 apiece) in Serie A over the last six games since Donadoni took over.

Bologna have won their last two Serie A games - the last time they won three in a row was in March 2013.

On the other hand, Empoli are on a run of three consecutive league wins - they have never previously won four Serie A matches in a row.

Bologna have attempted the fewest shots from inside the box in Serie A this season, 57 (including blocked), 3.6 per game on average.

Four of Bologna's last six league goals have come from set-pieces (three from a corner, one from the penalty spot), while only one of the previous 11 had been netted from set-pieces.

Empoli have conceded the most goals from corners (5) in the league this term.
Marcel Büchel, a former Bologna player, has scored two Serie A goals, both away from home - in the last league game against Carpi he delivered his first assist in the top flight.

Mattia Destro has scored four goals in his last five Serie A appearances, from just six shots on target.

Massimo Maccarone (who scored a brace in the last MD against Carpi), has found the net only once in eight Serie A meetings against Bologna.


Carpi - Juventus

Carpi and Juventus have never met in Serie A; however, the Bianconeri have won the last two times they have played at the Braglia in the top-flight (1-0 in 2002 and 2-0 in 2003).

Juventus are in a run of six consecutive wins in Serie A - on the other hand, Carpi have won only once over this period (away at Genoa), failing to find the net four times in the process.

This will be the game between the teams to have conceded the fewest (Juventus, six) and the most (Carpi, 27) goals from inside the box in the league this term.

Juventus have scored the most goals in the last 15 minutes of play in Serie A this campaign (8).

On the other hand, Carpi have conceded the most goals (17) in the first half.

Juventus have shipped just four goals in the last nine Serie A match-days, and never more than one per match in the process.

Carpi are goalless in their last two Serie A games. They have never gone three straight match-days without scoring so far this term.

Paulo Dybala has scored eight goals in the league this term, all with the left foot - he's the player with the most left-footed goals so far.

No player has fired more shots off target than Paul Pogba (28) this season.

Marco Borriello, a former Juventus player, is Carpi's best striker this season on three goals - however, none of his goals have come at home.


Atalanta - Napoli

Napoli have won only two of the last eight Serie A clashes against Atalanta (D3, L3), both at the San Paolo.

The Partenopei are winless at Atalanta since January 2010 (D2, L2): 2-0 with Quagliarella and Pazienza on the scoresheet, causing Antonio Conte's resignation.

Atalanta have won five of their seven home games played in Serie A this season (D1, L1).

Napoli's only two defeats this season have come away from home: on MD 1 against Sassuolo and on MD 15 against Bologna.

Napoli have fired the joint-most shots from outside the box in Serie A this season (90, excluding blocked), with 31 of those on target, more than any other team.

Atalanta have been caught offside 23 times so far, fewer than any other team this season.

This will be the game between the team with the most red cards taken across the top five European leagues (Atalanta, nine reds) and the only Serie A side yet to pick up one (Napoli).

Napoli are still the only Serie A side yet to score a header this term.

German Denis has scored six goals in 10 league meetings against Napoli, including three in the last two clashes at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

Marek Hamsik has failed to score in 1340 minutes in the league - he's currently on his longest goalless run in terms of minutes in the Serie A.


Fiorentina - Chievo

Fiorentina and Chievo have drawn two times in 22 games: the Viola have won 15 times (L5).

Fiorentina have won the last five Serie A meetings with Chievo, scoring at least two goals in every match.

Fiorentina have only failed to score at home against Chievo twice in 11 meetings.

Fiorentina have won only one of their last four league games (D2, L1).

Chievo have won three of their last four games (L1): the last time they had more points at MD16 was back in 2009/10 (24, 22 this season).

Fiorentina have gained only one point from losing positions this season, only Milan (0) have gained fewer.

Chievo have scored seven goals from outside the box, a joint record this season.

Fiorentina have scored 12  goals in the first 30 minutes of play, more than any other Serie A team this season.

Fiorentina have won and scored seven penalties, more than any other side in the Serie A 15-16: six penalties were scored by Josip Ilicic.

Riccardo Meggiorini has made six assists, more than any other player this season: he has already beaten his previous record (four, in 2014/15 and 2013/14).


Hellas Verona - Sassuolo

Verona have won three of their four Serie A meetings against Sassuolo, including the two played at the Bentegodi.

Verona have scored in all their four games against Sassuolo: eight goals, on average two per match.

Verona have lost their last four home league games, and they have not scored a goal: they have never lost five consecutive home Serie A games.

Sassuolo have never reached the same result in two consecutive games across their last 12 Serie A matches: they won against Sampdoria in their last game.

Verona have scored 91% of their goals from a set piece situation: only one of their 11 goals came from open play. No team has fewer than nine.

Only Fiorentina (17) have scored more than Sassuolo (14) in the first half in the Serie A 15-16.

Verona have scored only two goals in the first half, fewer than any other side - they have conceded 18 in the second half,  a joint negative record.

Prior to this season, Ascoli in 2006-07 were the last team who failed to win their first 16 Serie A games (relegated at the end of the season).

Against Milan, Luca Toni scored his second goal this season, both penalties: his last goal from open play was back in May against Juventus (624 minutes ago).

Toni has scored three goals in three games against Sassuolo.

Sergio Floccari has scored in his last two Serie A appearances: he never scored in three consecutive Serie A games.


Roma - Genoa

Roma have won six of their last seven league games against Genoa: Genoa's only win in that run was in May 2014.

The Giallorossi have won all of their last nine home Serie A meetings against Genoa, scoring 24 goals (2.7 per game).

Roma have won only one of their last six league games (D3, L2).

Genoa have lost their last three Serie A games: last time they lost four games in a row was back in April 2014.

Roma scored 25 goals in their first 10 league games (2.5 per game) - however, they  have scored only five goals in their last six games (0.8 per game).

The only time since 1994/95 that Genoa have scored fewer goals in their opening 16 Serie A games than their 15 this season was in 2010/11 (13).

Genoa and Roma are the two teams to have conceded the fewest goals in the first 30 minutes of play (both two).

Roma have scored the most goals from set piece situations (12), while no team have conceded more than Genoa (10).

Genoa have won only one of the eight games played without Perotti and Pavoletti (seven games lost and only three goals scored).
Four of Roma's last five goals have come from a set piece situation: two Pjanic (one from penalty and ony from direct shot), two Dzeko (both penalties).
Alessandro Florenzi has scored two goals at Genoa: he's only scored more against Bologna (three) in Serie A.


Frosinone - Milan

Milan and Frosinone have never met in Serie A or Serie B.

In their last six league games Frosinone have conceded at least two goals.

Frosinone have lost three of their last four league games.

Milan have won only one of their last five league games (D3, L1) - they have not scored in three of them.

In 2015 Milan have won only four of their 19 away games and they've kept only three clean sheets.

Milan have the same number of points they had last season after MD16 (25).

Frosinone have conceded 30 goals, a joint negative record - 18 of these goals came in the second half, another negative record.

Bacca has scored seven goals in this Serie A, from 12 shots on target.

Among the players with 10+ shots on target Bacca has the highest shot conversion rate (39%) in the Serie A 15-16.

Sampdoria have gained only three points in their last seven games (D3, L4).

Sampdoria have kept only one clean sheet in this Serie A, a joint negative record with Verona.

Last time Palermo won two consecutive games was in the first two match-days of this season.

Alberto Gilardino has scored against 37 sides in Serie A with his last goal against Frosinone: he has scored eight goals in 19 games against Sampdoria.

Inter - Lazio

Inter and Lazio have met 144 times in Serie A: inter have won 59 games and lost 33 (D52).

Inter are unbeaten in their last three games against Lazio (W2, D1): with the previous four games won by the Biancocelesti.

The last three games between this two sides have seen 12 goals scored.

Lazio have always scored in their last 10 league games against Inter.

Inter have collected 36 points in the first 16 MD for the first time since 2009/10.

Lazio have gained only two points in their last seven league games: last time they enjoyed a longer run was between September and December 2009 (13 games).
