Serie A Week 9 Opta Facts

Bologna v Inter

 

  • This will be the 133rd Serie A meeting between Bologna and Inter: the Nerazzurri lead by 63 wins to 38, 31 draws complete the record.
  • Inter beaten Bologna the more times than any other team in Serie A.
  • Prior to their last meeting (a 3-0 win for Bologna at the San Siro last February), the Rossoblu had failed to win in their previous 13 league matches against Inter (two draws, 11 defeats).
  • Bologna's last home win against Inter came back in February 2002. Since then, they have managed just one draw and six losses, failing to score more than one goal in any of those seven games.
  • Bologna have lost three of their last four Serie A fixtures,all by 0-1 scorelines away from home. They won the other by 4-0 at home though.
  • Inter have won four consecutive league games for the first time since last January.
  • Andrea Stramaccioni's side have won each of their four away games in this Serie A campaign without conceding a single goal.

  • Lazio have won both their last two away games against Fiorentina in the league. Prior to those victorioes, they had failed to win on their previous four trips to Florence without scoring a goal (three 0-1 losses and a 0-0 draw).
  • Fiorentina have lost just once in their last six Serie A fixtures (two wins, three draws).
  • The Viola are unbeaten in their last eight home league games (five draws, three wins) and have kept a clean sheet in each of the last three.

  • AC Milan have lost just two of their last 22 Serie A meetings against Genoa, both on the road.
  • Genoa's last victory away from home against AC Milan came back in May 1958. Since then, there have been 16 wins for the Rossoneri and five draws in the 21 encounters at the San Siro.
  • AC Milan have conceded goals in just three of their last 13 home games against Genoa in the league; however, they have netted more than one just twice in this period.
  • This is the first time since 1941/42 that AC Milan have lost five of their first eight games in a Serie A campaign.
  • The Rossoneri have lost three of their four home games in Serie A this term, all by 0-1.
  • Genoa manager Luigi De Canio has been sacked after he managed to win just one of the last seven league fixtures, losing three times. He is the fourth manager to be sacked in Serie A this season.
