Sven and his men can outfox the Forest

Leicester City v Nottingham Forest - 19:45 - live on SS2

Leicester have boosted their squad midweek with the temporary signings of the experienced but injury prone goalkeeper Chris Kirkland and the Czech striker Roman Bednar.

It is not too late for the once unthinkable and Leicester to challenge for promotion. They will have to be at their very best to beat their rivals Forest on Monday. They dominated against Brizzle last week but failed to take their chances.

Nottingham Forest are starting to look like a team going for promotion.  They were immense against Cardiff last weekend and it was a vital away victory. They sit in sixth, the final play-off spot but their win came at a cost. Blackstock was carried off on a stretcher with a serious injury and will not be available for a year.

Leicester are priced at 21/10 for the home win, the draw is 11/5 and the away win is 11/4. Nottingham Forest have also been in the press this week after capturing Aaron Ramsey on loan.

He could be an important player over the hectic Christmas schedule and he is 11/2 to score anytime. That is a massive price if he plays but it looks likely that Wenger will have a say on how many minutes that the Welsh starlet will play in the next few matches.

He has been out of action for the last six months and I think he will come off the bench against Leicester. He may be rusty after all his time out of the game. It will not be easy to score past the Tigers goalkeeper, Chris Kirkland.

Leicester are 13/5 to keep a clean sheet and Kirkland may want to impress potential suitors with the transfer window just around the corner. Forest have also brought in Tudgay on loan and he is 11/4 to score anytime.

They were interested in bringing in Leicester's out-of-favour striker Matt Fryatt.  Forest have a solid defence and they have kept a clean sheet in their last two matches.  Forest are 12/5 to keep a clean sheet but I can see this being quite an attacking affair. This could be Leicester's day at 21/10, Sven has brought in six new signings and it takes time for them to gel together.

Vassell is 15/8 to score anytime and he is one of the signings, he is a former England international and he has the skill and pace to be amongst the best players in the Championship.  If they take their chances, you can back over 2.5 goals at 11/10.

The strikers on show tomorrow suggest it could be high scoring but both teams have quality keepers. It may not be Barcelona against Real Madrid and it is strange to associate Sven with Leicester but the game from the Championship could offer some fantastic viewing tomorrow.
