Swansea to make history in Manchester
Swansea make history on Monday as the first Welsh team to play in the Premier League. It is not an easy start for the club, a trip to Man City and if they can leave the Etihad stadium with a point, then it will be a successful away day.
Swansea will be handing a debut to their record signing Danny Graham. He cost £3.5 million from Watford and it is quite a contrast to the £38 million that City have given Atletico Madrid for Aguero.
The home win is 3/10, the draw is 7/2 and three points for Swansea is 12/1. Anything other than a home win will be a major shock and although I do not think Swansea will be relegated this season, they could be taken apart in Manchester.
They play attractive football and they use wingers, they were one of the prettiest sides in the Championship last season and they will have an attacking line-up against City. They should be successful in Wales this season and their Premier League future will be down to home results.
However, like Blackpool, they cannot attack the better teams and expect results. They would be better off parking the bus in-front of the goal. It is 6/10 for over 2.5 goals and I expect a goal-fest. Man City are 10/11 to win to nil and they had the best defence in the Premier League last season.
They should have little trouble coping with the Swansea attack. It is 11/5 for the first goal to be scored in the 1st to 15th minute and Man City will want to start the season with a bang. Mancini is very results driven and he is under a lot of pressure to bring the Premier League trophy across the city.
Aguero is not fully fit and he will start on the bench alongside his unsettled countryman Carlos Tevez. With players like that available for selection and the strength of their squad, we have a different Match Winner on offer.
We are a cracking 2/1 for a substitute to score anytime. With Milner, Aguero and Tevez likely to start from the bench, there is enough quality for one of them to find the back of the net in a high scoring match. If Man City's starting eleven are not taking their chances or playing fluid football, Mancini is not afraid to make changes early.
One player in and out of the news day by day is Mario Balotelli. He is often let down by his behaviour and in pre-season, he tried to back heel the ball into the goal, when he just needed to tap it into the net.
He is 10/3 to score the first goal and he is also one of the greediest players on the pitch. He will line-up alongside Dzeko, who has done little since leaving Wolfsburg. He has a great goal scoring record for such a big player and he should now have settled into life in England. He is available at 3/1 to find the net first.
