There's no Cisse fire at Swansea
The Newcastle players will still have an eye on a spot in next season's Champions League. They have been superb this season, Jose Enrique left for Liverpool in the summer and stated that they are a club in decline.
However, Pardew has bought wisely since taking over from Chris Houghton. Mike Ashley made a tough decision when he decided the club should sell their star player Andy Carroll last season but they have never looked back, Carroll and Liverpool are struggling whilst the Toon army are heading for Europe.
Swansea are at home and they are 7/5 to win the clash, the draw is 11/5 and the away win is 2/1. Newcastle travel to Wales after three successive wins in the league and confidence must be sky high. They have one of the best strike forces in the Premier League.
Demba Ba was the buy of the season, it has been reported that his knee is in tatters and he failed a medical previously at Stoke but he has been a handful for the opposition this season. He is 11/2 to open the scoring and 6/5 anytime scorer.
Newcastle are fortunate enough that his strike partner is Papiss Cisses, his team mate for Senegal. They have a great understanding and you can back Cisse to find the net first at 9/2. Cisse has scored seven goals in seven games since he joined the club.
The Match Winner is for Papiss Cisse to score in both halves, it has been enhanced from 7/1 to 10/1!
The reverse fixture between the sides ended 0-0 (17/2). Newcastle have failed to win away at any of the promoted clubs this season. Swansea have had an exceptional year and Brendan Rodgers has been praised for the job he is doing at the club. They play an exciting brand of football and they have never looked like relegation fodder.
They signed the Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson on loan from Hoffenheim at Christmas and he is on-fire. He has scored six goals in his last eight games. He has just been named player of the month by the Premier League and he has a big future. He is the first Swansea player to scoop the award. He is 11/2 to open the scoring and 6/4 to find the net anytime.
Newcastle have only failed to score in two away games in the league this season. You can back both teams to score at 4/5 and over 2.5 goals looks a big price at 21/20. Both teams have very attacking players and unlike the reverse fixture, it could be a goal-fest.
Scott Sinclair is in negotiations to extend his contract at Swansea. The 23-year-old scored a hat-trick (50/1) in the play-off final last year and he has been an important player for the Swans this season. He hasn't scored a ridiculous amount of goals but he has excelled on the wing.
