Things about to get Messi for Ronaldo - Rooney 80/1!

Lionel Messi is the 4/6 favourite with William Hill to make it a hat trick of FIFA Ballon d'Or titles as he heads the 23 man shortlist.

Cristiano Ronaldo will feel he should be in with a chance of victory and is 7/2 co second favourite with Andres Iniesta. Radamel Falcao is 16/1 with Brazilian wonder boy Neymar 40/1, the same price as Spain and Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas. Wayne Rooney is the only England player in the list and is 80/1 to deliver.

William Hill believe that Messi and Ronaldo will dominate for years, offering 11/10 that one or the other win the title for the next three years.

"Messi is the clear favourite to win his third FIFA Ballon d'Or in a row but Ronaldo will not be in a happy place if Lionel wins again," said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

The FIFA Coach of the Year shortlist has also been announced with Spain coach Vicente del Bosque the 1/4 favourite, Roberto Di Matteo is a 25/1 shot.
