Villa Slashed For Drop, Lambert Slashed For Chop
QPR drew with Manchester City in a match that impacts both the top and the bottom of the table. William Hill have pushed the price of Manchester City winning the Premier League out to 11/4 from 3/1, while at the bottom, QPR are 4/6 from 1/2 to go down.
Aston Villa's defeat at home saw their odds cut from 10/11 to 8/13 for the drop while their conquerors, Newcastle are 5/1 from 4/1 to go down.
"While there was only really Manchester City from the top half of the table playing tonight, the action in the Premier League has definitely impacted the bottom and while they may still be out of the drop zone for the moment, the odds suggest that Villa and their manager are doomed," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
After a slight reprieve on Monday when his odds drifted to 5/4, Paul Lambert is now red-hot favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his job at 4/6. Rafa Benitez is 3/1.
