Vintage Del Piero is the key for surging Juve

Alessandro Del Piero has turned 34 but if recent performances are anything to go by he keeps on getting better.

The Juventus striker has been in superb form, leading his beloved club to six straight wins, including home and away wins against Real Madrid.

Juve manager, Claudio Ranieri, said of Del Piero, "I have no more adjectives for Alex. He plays well, scores and plays for the team.

"He is lethal to our opponents and important to us."

Next up for La Vecchia Signora is Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico, a club with aspirations that match those of Del Piero.

Genoa currently lie 7th in the Serie A, just a point behind Juve, and have already notched up wins against AC Milan and Roma this season.

Manager Gian Piero Gasperini will be hoping that, on Thursday night, Juventus are the next giant to fall to the minnows.

However, Juve are flying and anything other than a home win would be a huge surprise. Juve are available at 8/13 and it looks to be a banker.
