Atalanta - Palermo

Palermo are unbeaten in their last seven meetings with Atalanta in the top-flight, winning four.
At home Atalanta have taken only two points from their last four meetings with the Rosanero.
Despite his, Atlanta have scored on each of the last 11 occasions they have hosted the Sicilians in Serie A.
Palermo have not shared the points in their last seven league games (five wins, two defeats).
The Sicilians have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 10 games on the road in the league.

Bologna have won each of their last three Serie A encounters with Lecce, and are unbeaten in the last nine against the Salentini (five wins and four draws).
At home, Bologna are unbeaten against Lecce in the top-flight, having won seven and drawn four.
Bologna have conceded only one goal in their last three league games against Lecce at the Dall'Ara.
Bologna are winless in their last 10 Serie A games, scoring just one goal in the last eight.
Bologna picked up only three points from their last seven games played at home in the 2010-11 campaign, and failed to score in the last four at their own ground.

Cagliari - Novara

This will be the first ever meeting between Cagliari and Novara in the top-flight.
Cagliari failed to win each of the last five away games of the last Serie A campaign, picking up only two points.
Novara will play their second consecutive game on the road after holding Chievo to a draw in Verona last Sunday.
Last season in Serie B, Novara conceded only 21 goals on the road, a competition-low shared with Siena.
Prior to the win against Roma, Cagliari had gone seven Serie A games without a win.
Novara completed the most crosses from open play on the opening match-day of the Serie A (eight).
Alex Pinardi created seven goal scoring chances for his teammates on the opening weekend, more than any other player last weekend.

Catania - Cesena

The only two previous meetings between these two sides were those played last season: Catania won 2-0 at home, while at the Manuzzi it finished 1-1.
Catania have lost only one of their last six Serie A fixtures, on the last match-day of the 2010-11 campaign against Inter (1-3).
Cesena have not shared the points in their last seven games between this term and the last Serie A campaign (four wins, three draws).

Inter - Roma

Inter lost their opening game of the Serie A for the first time since 2000/01: on that occasion they finished 5th in the table, and Roma won the Italian league.
Last time the Nerazzurri lost the first two fixtures of a Serie A campaign was in 1983.
Last time this happened to Roma was 2009/10, when they finished second in the final table behind Inter.
Prior to the defeat against Palermo, the list time Inter had conceded four goals in a Serie A game was against upcoming opponents Roma, in March 2004.
Inter are on a run of 13 consecutive wins at home in Serie A, and are unbeaten since the derby loss against AC Milan in November.

Lazio - Genoa

Lazio are unbeaten against Genoa in the last seven Serie A fixtures, as result of five wins and two draws.

Napoli - AC Milan

AC Milan are unbeaten in the last six Serie A meetings with Napoli (three wins for the Rossoneri and three draws).
The Partenipei have managed to beat AC Milan only once in their last 16 league encounters, 3-1 at the San Paolo back in 2008.
AC Milan have won more Serie A games at the home of Napoli than any other side (22 times).

AC Milan won seven of the nine league games they played without Zlatan Ibrahimovic last season (78%); with Ibra on the pitch their win percentage was 59%.

Parma - Chievo

Parma lost their opening game in Serie A for the first time since 1992; on that occasion they finished the campaign 3rd in the table.
Chievo wasted a 2-0 lead against Novara to draw 2-2 last Sunday: last season Chievo had been the only side in Serie A able to win every single game in which they had taken the lead.
No goals have been scored in the last three Serie A games between these two sides.
Parma won their last three home games of the 2010-11 campaign.
Chievo won only one of their last four on the road last term, but the win came in their last trip of the season, to Palermo (3-1).
Parma attempted only one shot agaist Juventus; the penalty that was converted by Giovinco.

Siena - Juventus

Siena claimed the most points (49) and scored the most goals (45) at home in the last Serie B campaign.
Juventus conceded only 16 goals away from home last season, only AC Milan (12) had a better record in Serie A.
Juventus have won 10 of the 12 games played against Siena so far in the top-flight, losing only once in May 2008; the last meeting ended in a 3-3 draw.
Siena have only scored one goal in six home Serie A meetings with the Old Lady so far.
Juve conceded only one goal in their last four games on the road last season.

Udinese - Fiorentina

Prior to this year, the last time Fiorentina won their opening fixture of the Serie A was in 2007/08, when they finished 4th and secured a Champions League spot.
These two sides have not shared the points in their last 10 Serie A meetings (five wins each).
Udinese have come out on top in four of their last five games against Fiorentina at the Friuli.
Francesco Guidolin's side are unbeaten in their last four Serie A fixtures, winning three and keeping three clean sheets.

Stevan Jovetic attempted more shots than any other player in the opening round of the Serie A.
Francesco Guidolin has lost only three of the 23 previous clashes with Fiorentina in his managerial career in the top-flight, winning 10 and drawing 10.
