Will Bolton finally bring Roy's reign to an end?
Liverpool's second win of the season was not enough to lift them out of the relegation zone last week and the pressure could be piled further on Roy Hodgson as his side travel to play a Bolton side who have lost just one match all season.
Bolton (11/5) seem a generous price when you consider their strength at home and Liverpool have just one point from four away matches. Bolton have been susceptible to draws this season with six in nine matches so I would either back the draw (11/5) or Bolton and the draw in the double chance market (4/7).
Liverpool (13/10) and their shocking season has been well documented and their nine points from nine games is relegation form. With Fernando Torres scoring last week in a Liverpool win, it could signify a return to form but everyone knows a trip to Bolton is never easy.
Bolton have never really fared well against Liverpool, they have lost the last seven matches in a row and have won just three of the 22 matches between the sides.
As previously mentioned, Bolton are doing well this season in eighth place and lost just one match, if they had a real goalscoring threat that could turn their large amount of draws into three points - they could be really pushing for a European spot.
Johan Elmander leads Bolton's scoring charts this season with an impressive five goals but they have all come away from the Reebok Stadium. If you think he can finally get a goal in front of his home support you can get 6/1 first goal or 7/4 anytime.
Now Fernando Torres is back amongst the goals and playing with Steven Gerrard, Liverpool should slowly move up the table.
Their reliance on their two main men is highlighted by the fact they have failed to score a goal in the league since the opening day of the season without it being scored or assisted by the Spaniard or Steven Gerrard.
For Torres to score first you can get 4/1 for him to bag the first goal and with our Match Winner offer this weekend you can back him to get a hat-trick at 25/1 and if he only managed two goals - your stake will be returned.
Steven Gerrard has chipped in with four goals this season in the absence of Torres' goals and he is always a decent pick to score at 13/2 first or 15/8 anytime.
On paper, this could be an ideal match for Liverpool, given their recently record over the Trotters, and if they can get their first away win of the season here it would provide a massive boost.
I just think with all the speculation and unrest around Anfield at the moment, this is the perfect time for Bolton to finally get a win over the Reds, and if they do - it could be the end of a short stay on Merseyside for Roy.
