Will The Saints keep marching?

Rangers have seen a massive lead over Celtic evaporate and now they trail their rivals by two points.

They have a chance to go back to the top of the table, if only for a few hours, with a win at McDiarmid Park.

The Saints are riding high in the table and are joint fourth, just behind Motherwell. Their chances of breaching the top two are all but gone, but third place is well within reach and a win here would be a massive step forward. They will however be comfortable in the knowledge that no matter what happens they will finish this gameweek in fifth at the very least.

Recent meetings between these two have been dominated by The Gers, so much so that St Johnstone have only scored two goals in the last six clashes. They met at Ibrox in November and The Saints battled for a 0-0 draw and also became one of the few teams to have taken points off the Glaswegian duo.

Rangers' (4/7) away form has been their downfall this season, recently back-to-back losses away to Celtic and more surprisingly St Mirren put a dent in their title hopes. Their most recent game was a comfortable 4-0 win away at lowly Arbroath in the William Hill Scottish Cup.

St Johnstone (5/1, Draw 11/4) have been poor at home this season, despite some recent wins at McDiarmid Park they would be a mere mid-table side based on home performances. They have only won four and lost six this season.

Nikica Jelavic (5/2 First, 4/7 Anytime) is the top scorer in the SPL with 12 strikes so far this season, half of these have been the opening goals in Rangers games. Despite some interest from Premier League clubs such as QPR no solid offers have been made for the Rangers striker and if he desires a move he will need to impress in the next few games.

Francesco Sandaza (9/1 First, 10/3 Anytime) grabbed a brace in The Saints 2-0 win at home to Kilmarnock and we are offering an enhanced Match Winner Price that he scores against Rangers and St Johnstone win. The original price was 17/2 and we have bumped this up to a massive 10/1. Sandaza is only three goals behind Jelavic and five of his nine have been the opening goals in games.

Both sides most recent games have gone under 2.5 goals with Rangers not really having the ability to smash teams as they once did. But I think both sides here will have a good go at getting the three points and at 19/20 you can back over 2.5 goals and if you're feeling adventurous over 3.5 goals at 13/5.

I think at 4/7 Rangers are a big price, this has drifted from an opening price of 1/2, but their need for a win is massive and they should have too much for The Saints.
