Totti fancied in Essex

Bubbly Totti is favourite for the Essex Vase Final at Romford this Tuesday, live on Sky Sports 3.

Following a great run in the semi last week, trainer Ted Soppitt said, "I now think he's the best I've ever had."

"He's not a one-trick pony and has shown he will pass on either side of a greyhound, which only the great ones do. It was almost Westmead Hawk-like the way he waited his moment and then chose his path on Wednesday," continued Soppitt about his dog Bubbly Totti, now installed as the even money favourite for the Essex Vase.

Droopys Carvalho, 15/8 in the betting, is proven over four bends having won the Sussex Cup and reached the finals of the Yarmouth Derby and All England Cup. The step up to six hasn't been the challenge many expected as he held his lead over the extra distance in the semi-final victory over Bomber Blue who is priced as the 12/1 outsider for the final.

Sherries Boy looked to have the easiest semi-final victory winning by five lengths. Trainer Tony Collett was delighted to reach a second consecutive Essex Vase final having had to withdraw Lenson Joker last year and this year's charge is at odds of 11/2 for the final which is now a five-runner contest as Bubbly Rambo is injured.

The fifth contender is the 8/1 Brickfield Dream who looked to have won its semi-final before Bubbly Totti's perfectly timed challenge saw it win by half a length.

William Hill now have their non-runner money back market available.
