Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby - Money Back Special

Reigning champion Taylors Sky will bid to enter the greyhound racing hall of fame when he heads the 132-strong field of entries for the £125,000 williamhill.com Greyhound Derby, with Charlie Lister's star quoted as 6-1 favourite with the sponsors for the repeat.

The 2011 winner will aim to join canine greats such as Rapid Ranger and Westmead Hawk when he lines up in defence of his title - while gunning for the extra £50,000 2012 prize-boost.

William Hill quote all-time Derby winning-most trainer Charlie Lister at 11-4 to record a monumental seventh success in the premier competition.

Kennelmate Eden Star, winner of the williamhill.com Puppy Derby, features next in the betting at 10-1 alongside Dolores Ruth's Razldazl Jayfkay, hot ante-post favourite to take the prestigious title last year, who leads the Irish charge.

Exclusive televised pictures of the Derby will be shown live throughout William Hill's 2400-strong retail estate, with pictures available throughout the entire competitions.

Kate Miller, spokeswoman for William Hill, said: "The World's Greatest Greyhound Race is nearly upon us! Charlie's leading the home charge once again, whilst a 19-strong challenge from the Emerald Isle shows that the Irish mean business too. Let the games begin!''

One with a keen interest in this year's competition is 16-time Champion Jockey AP McCoy, who has his first williamhill.com Derby runner with 40/1 chance Shelbourne Geoff.

AP commented, ''I'm really excited about having my first Greyhound Derby runner. We bought Shelbourne Geoff with my friend Pat in Ireland, and there are a few of us involved. £125,000 is a big winner's purse, and it's sure to be great fun having a runner.  I'll be trying to get down to Wimbledon to watch the action live.''

After the success of their second-chance offer from last year, William Hill will be repeating the concession where all bets on greyhounds knocked out in the first round will be refunded in the form of a free bet to reinvest again.

The offer is available across all William Hill channels - in shops, on the telephone, mobile, text and www.williamhill.com and applies to all bets placed on the Derby after 6pm on Thursday 18th April.

Selections eliminated in the first round will have their stake refunded to them in the form of a free bet - which can then be reinvested ante-post. *

** Max Stake £100 , Free bet voucher must be used on the Greyhound Derby Ante Post book, valid until the first heat in the 2nd round**
