Big guns remain as 8 line-up for Hills King George
Long Run is 5-4 favourite with the sponsors for the William Hill King George VI Chase following the latest entry stage on Tuesday, where a field of eight remain for the Boxing day showpiece.
The reigning champion and long-time market leader tops the betting ahead of 7-2 second-favourite Kauto Star, who has been supported from 4-1 in his bid for an unprecedented fifth victory.
Arkle winner Captain Chris is now 7-1 from 8-1, whilst Somersby is 12-1, with Diamond Harry 16-1 ahead of Nacarat (50-1) and Golan Way (66-1).
William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes, said "Long Run has been the most popular of the front two in recent weeks, however it now looks as though the scales may be beginning to tip in favour of the four-time champion Kauto Star, and the gap between the two kings is likely to decrease further as the big day approaches"
