Smouldering St Leger favourite Camelot is set to jump away as one of the shortest-priced contenders in the history of the race when he attempts to seal the final Triple Crown leg with victory at Doncaster on Saturday.

The unbeaten 2000 Guineas and Derby hero heads a field of 11 at the five-day entry stage and is 2-5 with William Hill to secure the final Classic of the season.

Main Sequence, runner-up to the Ballydoyle flagbearer at Epsom, is next in the betting at 7-1, with Imperial Monarch, second of the three remaining O'Brien inmates, available at 8-1

Michelangelo (9-1) is the shortest-priced of the John Gosden contenders, and William Hill quote the Clarehaven handler at 5-1 to follow up Arctic Cosmos and Masked Marvel and record a Leger hat-trick.

Guarantee has been a notable mover in recent weeks, with his odds now 12-1 from the 20-1 quote following his York win.

William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said "Anything that John Gosden sends for an attack on the St Leger must be afforded great respect, while Guarantee has been creeping towards the head of the market recently. However they may all be playing for places behind the juggernaut that is Camelot"
