Can Hughes wipe the floor with Moore?
William Hill cannot seperate Ryan Moore and Richard Hughes for the Royal Ascot top jockey title with the pair available at 11-10 apiece, and the honours look all to play for as we head into a highly competitive third day.
From an initial 5-6 when betting opened, Moore emerged from Day One as short as 1-3 after one winner, together with a second and third.
Hughes then stole the advantage on Wednesday with victories aboard Strong Suit and Best Terms, whereas Moore narrowly missed out on gold with So You Think and Dance And Dance.
Eddie Ahern, successful on two occasions this royal meeting, has sprung into the betting at 16-1.
Lucy Rhodes, spokeswoman for William Hill, said, ‘Although Ryan Moore was predominantly the bridesmaid on Wednesday, that will stand him in good stead should the week end in a tie'
