Ladies out to clear National Debt!
The Grand National 2012 could be the best chance to date of a lady jockey winning the World's greatest steeplechase.
Nina Carberry is set to partner Organisedconfusion (25/1 with William Hill) for Arthur Moore and, with Ruby Walsh this morning confirmed to ride On His Own, his sister Katie will most likely be aboard leading contender Seabass, who is a 14/1 shot.
Nina has tackled the daunting fences a number of times, completing on every occasion, while this will be Katie's first ride in the big event, although her mount will arrive on the back of a seven-race unbeaten run and she has partnered him to two of those victories.
William Hill have priced up a number of specials, quoting 10/1 for a first female jock to taste glory in the famous event, and 100/1 for the girls to finish first and second!
William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said "Both Nina and Katie look to have outstanding chances and a first female success in the National would be a monumental event in what is going to be a tremendous year for sport"
