Musselburgh review - 10 August
COSMIC CHATTER looks a juvenile with a bright future after his romp in the Musselburgh sunshine in the British Stallion Studs EBF Conditions Stakes.
Ridden by Graham Gibbons, he slammed 4/1 on hot-pot Liber by a comprehensive three-lengths.
The Paris House gelding impressed on his debut at Haydock in June but boiled over in the preliminaries before the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Winning trainer David Barron, who has sold a half share of Cosmic Chatter to Highclere Thoroughbred Racing, said: "It was his first time away from home and it just got to him. I like him a lot and he'll go to York next for the Roses Stakes."
Thirsk-based Barron went on to complete a quick double with Sohcahtoa, partnered by Luke Mcniff, in the Cruden Group Handicap.
Arley Hall won the Cornhill Builders Handicap by four and a half lengths in the hands of Lee Topliss to lose his maiden tag at the tenth time of asking.
"They went a nice gallop and she travelled good," the winning rider said. "This will have done her confidence good and she should have plenty of improvement to come."
In a race run at a furious gallop, Ayrshire-born Danny Tudhope and Able Master came out on top in the Egden Murray Europe Ltd Handicap by a length and a half.
