Ortensia Shaping Up For The Cup
Sprint Cup market leader Ortensia is now as short as 9-4 following the final declarations for the Saturday Haydock highlight.
The Aussie speedster has been backed all the way down to red-hot favouritism after originally receiving a quote of 5-1 post-Nunthorpe.
The mare tops the betting ahead of last year's runner-up Bated Breath at 3-1, while Richard Hannon's Strong Suit, also a recent mover, is now a 6-1 chance, with James Fanshawe's Society Rock available at 11-1.
William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said "The money for Ortensia came thick and fast after her Nunthorpe success and with her favoured dry conditions expected, a big-race sprinting double could well be on the cards for the Aussie speedster"
