Racing stats and pointers - 12 November
Horse racing on Saturdays always provide top-class racing but it is also the busiest day of the week for sport. So to help with the work, please find below our key stats and pointers for the day’s racing:
Ruby Walsh is the leading jockey at Cheltenham having won 46 races in the past five years. He also shows a profit of £187 to £10 stakes and has six booked rides at the course on Saturday.
£155 is the profit you would have made by backing £10 on the favourites in Lingfield’s 2 year old non-handicap races this year. There have been 24 of these races so far in 2011 and an incredible 15 (63%) of them have been won by the favourite. The 13:40 on Saturday provides another opportunity to follow this stat.
David Barron will be making the 264 mile journey to run Suits Me in the 14:15 at Lingfield. The effort has certainly paid off in the past as he has a 24% strike rate at the track in the last five years for a profit of £178 to £10 stakes.
In the last ten years there have been no 5 year old winners of the Gold Cup at 14:35 and Paul Nicholls has never won the race. But his horse, Mon Parrain will be going off the strong favourite.
