Ruby to carve niche in greatwood market
William Hill have priced up the 17-strong Greatwood Gold Cup field at Newbury, with the firm installing Ikorodu Road as 6-1 market leader.
Last year's winner Big Fella Thanks (9-1) and Niche Market (14-1) will make an appearance in Saturday's big event, with Ruby Walsh due to partner the Paul Nicholls-trained latter - and the pair are both 16-1 to triumph in the Grand National.
Lucy Rhodes, spokeswoman for William Hill, said 'The Greatwood Gold Cup is as competitive as usual, and it's great to see National fancies Big Fella Thanks and Niche Market due to lock horns. However with Ruby Walsh making his much-anticipated return over the weekend, it wouldn't come as a surprise to see the 14-1 about his mount's chance rapidly disappearing.'
