That Synching Feeling - Leopardstown round-up

Synchronised was introduced into the Cheltenham Gold Cup betting at 14-1 with William Hill following a decisive win in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown on Wednesday.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained, JP McManus-owned and Tony McCoy-ridden gelding was heavily supported throughout the morning before storming to an eight-length victory over Rubi Light and Quito De La Roque in the Grade One highlight.

William Hill spokeswoman Lucy Rhodes said, "The potent combination of Champion Jockey Tony McCoy, Jonjo O'Neill and JP McManus was always going to be popular with the punters, and the decision to skip a Welsh National repeat has rewarded the betting public as well as connections"

Elsewhere on the card, Last Instalment was cut to 10-1 from 16-1 for the RSA Chase after success in the Topaz Fort Leney Novice Chase, whilst the firm eased runner-up and fellow Gigginstown contender First Lieutenant to 20-1 from 16-1.

Voler La Vedette relegated the boys with a smart performance in the Grade Two Christmas Hurdle, and is now 4-1 second-favourite for the David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle behind reigning queen Quevega. Successful on her first outing at three miles, Hills have now introduced the winner into the World Hurdle market at 12-1.

Willie Mullins's Make Your Mark was inserted into the Neptune and Albert Bartlett betting at 10-1 after a ten-length romp in the opening Madigans Maiden Hurdle.
