Will the Queen be seen in green on Ladies Day?
With the eyes of the world on the Royal Family more than ever, speculation has already begun about the Queens outfits for this week's Royal Ascot.
Bookies William Hill have priced up their annual market on the colour of Her Majesty's hat on Ladies' Day (Thursday 16th), with green the favourite at 3-1.
William Hill spokeswoman Jennie Prest said, "Every year, there is feverish speculation over Her Majesty's millinery at Ascot and with the Royal Family riding a wave of popularity we are expecting a bumper week of betting.
The Queen has sported powder blue, white, pink, yellow and turquoise hats at recent official engagements, and wore purple for Ladies' Day last year, so we have plumped for green as favourite."
William Hill odds for the predominant colour of the Queen's Hat for Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot 2011, Thursday 16th June:
6-1 White, Cream/Beige,
10-1 Purple, Turquoise, Pink,
20-1 Red, Silver,
25-1 Black, Orange
