F1 record streak 7/2 to continue in Valencia
They said it could not be done, but it has. After Mark Webber won on the streets of Monaco to become the sixth winner of six consecutive races it was claimed that the run was over, but Lewis Hamilton became number seven and now, it is 7/2 with William Hill for number eight to come in Valencia in two weeks time.
"This season has been so unpredictable and there are still a couple of realistic winners that could keep this run going for a little while yet, although the likelihood is that we have reached the end of this fantastic sequence," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
Hamilton's victory moved him to the top of the standings once again albeit by two points and he is 13/8 to win the Drivers Championship with Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso just behind at 3/1.
"It is getting tight at the top, which is fantastic for the sport given the way in which Vettel ran away with the Championship last season," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
