F1 Abu Dhabi: First blood goes to Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton recorded the fastest time in Practice today in Abu Dhabi and William Hill have shortened his odds from 50/1 to 25/1 to win the Drivers' Championship.
The McClaren cars looked very impressive today and could be in a position to push for victory on Saturday afternoon.
A McClaren victory would definitely suit Fernando Alonso who is the Even money favourite for the Championship. Hamilton is the 4/1 joint third favourite while Jenson Button is priced at 25/1.
Despite Hamilton's performance today, Hills make Sebastian Vettel the 11/10 favourite to qualify fastest while his team mate, Mark Webber is the 3/1 second favourite.
Conversely, Mark Webber is the 6/4 favourite to win the race taking into account the fact that Vettel (9/4) will aid his team mate's quest for the Championship.
"Whatever happens this weekend, the race is certain to be intriguing, much like the season has been so far," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
