Fanny blanked but you bet Coe could intervene
The Royal Dutch Athletics Federation have written to Sebastian Coe, asking him to intervene and amend the recently redesigned London Tube map.
The Dutch are unhappy that Fanny Blankers-Koen has been left off the map, which has changed the names of all the tube stops to names of famous Olympians. William Hill think that Lord Coe may have to get involved, offering 11/10 that the map is amended and Blankers-Koen is added (4/6 the map stays as it is).
"Fanny Blankers-Koen was arguably the top performer at the last London Games and her absence from the 2012 map is going to be a cause of much embarrassment and we think there is every chance it will be amended," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
Following the announcement that some London Underground drivers could earn up to £6000 bonus during the Olympic Games, William Hill have pushed out the price of there being an official Tube strike during the Olympics. Originally offered at 6/4, Hills now offer 9/2 that there is strike (1/8 there is not.)
