GB’s Yarnold Sets Fastest Skeleton Time - Odds On For Gold
Elizabeth Yarnold set the fastest time in training ahead of Thursday's Skeleton heats and William Hill have cut her odds of winning gold to 4/5 from 13/10. Her main rival, Noelle Pikus Pace, failed to show for Tuesday's practice run but remains her biggest threat, according to the betting, making her a 23/10 shot.
Yarnold's GB teammate, Shelley Rudman is the 10/1 fourth favourite.
"Yarnold lead the field by 0.1 second and all indications are that she can go even faster," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "She is certainly the one to beat going into Thursday's heats and she represents GB's best hopes of getting a gold in Sochi."
