Men to top women on the track, but Ennis main hope
William Hill make the GB men's track and field team 1/3 to secure more medals at London 2012 than the women although there are plenty of contenders on both sides should the Olympics odds be believed.
Hills think the top contenders for gold are Mo Farah, 6/4 for 5,000m and 11/8 for 10,000m and Jess Ennis, who is 4/5 to win the heptathlon.
Amongst Team GB's other medal hopes on the track are 2008 gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu (7/1 for 400m gold), Local girl Perri Shakes Drayton (5/1 for 400m hurdles gold), European Champion 400m hurdler Dai Greene (3/1 for gold) and jumpers Greg Rutherford (4/1 for Long Jump gold) and Phillips Idowu (5/1 for Triple Jump gold).
"While we think that the men will grab a few more medals on the track and in the field than the women, there is no doubting that our most nailed on gold in the Olympic Stadium comes in the form of Jess Ennis," said Hill's spokesman Joe Crilly.
