Men's gymnasts to make up for missed chance
Following a sensational bronze medal in the team gymnastics, William Hill are now looking towards another celebration in the men's individual all-round gymnastics.
Kohei Uchimura, whose mistake looked to have secured a silver medal for the British gymnasts, is the 1/2 favourite for the gold medal while the USA's Danell Leyva is 3/1.
The UK athletes are 10/1 (Kristian Thomas) and 16/1 (Daniel Purvis) to win gold, however, a much more likely 9/2 (Thomas) and 5/1 (Purvis) to win a medal of any colour.
"After Japan's reprieve in the team event at the expense of the Brits, Kristian Thomas and Danie Purvis will be desperate to outdo Uchimura but the odds would indicate that this is not too likely," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
