4/1 Coalition won't survive beyond 2011

Bookmakers William Hill are offering odds of 4/1 that cracks in the coalition will lead to a General Election during 2011 after Vince Cable was controversially stripped of certain powers.

'The coalition relies on cross-Party agreement, and the indication that there are significant cracks appearing could jeopardise the long term survival of the arrangement' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

And Hills have halved their odds for Vince Cable to quit or be sacked as a Cabinet Minister before the end of 2011 from 4/1 to 2/1 after the furore over his reported remarks about Rupert Murdoch and other matters.

'Some political observers will see this incident as heralding the beginning of the end for the coalition and, possibly, Mr Cable's career in the Cabinet' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. 'There is little doubt his credibility has been damaged.'

When will the next General Election take place?....2011......4/1; 2012....6/1; 2013....6/1; 2014.....3/1; 2015.....6/4

Result of next General Election?....13/8 Hung Parliament; 7/4 Conservative Majority; 15/8 Labour Majority; 80/1 Lib-Dem Majority.

Which party leader will step down first ?....Evens Nick Clegg; 7/4 Ed Miliband; 3/1 David Cameron.
