Barack in pole position as campaigns resume
Barack Obama's odds have been cut three times during the Superstorm crisis, and as campaigning for the Presidential Election resumes, he is quoted as 3/10 favourite by Wiliam Hill to be returned to the White House, with Mitt Romney's odds out to 5/2.
‘Before the storm Mr Obama was 4/9 favourite with Mitt Romney at 7/4, but we've had to cut his odds a number of times as punters appear to regard the President's sure-footed performance so far during the crisis as being a crucial factor in the outcome of the Election' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills also reported interest in New Jersey's Republican governor, Chris Christie to emerge as a leading contender for the 2016 Presidential race and quote him at 33/1 to win it.
