Boris Island to get go ahead for take-off!
William Hill offer odds of 5/1 that the government will give the go ahead to Boris Johnson's plan for an airport in the Thames Estuary - dubbed ‘Boris Island' - before the General Election takes place.
‘Boris is taking advantage of his current elevated status basking in the afterglow of a successful Olympics to push his own pet projects and to further his probable ambition of becoming Prime Minister - the go-ahead for Boris Island airport would clear the way for take-off for the ultimate destination of Number 10' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
William Hill are offering 2/1 that Boris will stand for, and again win, the London Mayoral Election in 2016 - but have also shortened his odds from 4/1 to 3/1 favourite to succeed David Cameron as leader of the Conservative Party.
Boris is a 5/1 chance to become an MP before the next General Election, while Hills also make him a 6/1 chance to become Prime Minister by 2020.
Boris Island to get go ahead for take off? 5/1 Yes; 1/9 No.
