Perry and Bachmann claim White House momentum
After coming out on top in the Iowa straw poll, Michelle Bachmann has been cut from 9/2 to 4/1 third favourite by William Hill to be the Republican Presidential candidate, and from 16/1 to 14/1 fourth favourite to win the race to the White House.
But Texas governor Rick Perry, who also entered the race this weekend, has made an even bigger impression and is now 6/4 favourite with Hills to win the right to take on Barack Obama, and is now 4/1 second favourite to become President. 'This appears to have been a pivotal weekend in the Presidential campaign with Perry and Bachmann grabbing the early momentum in the race to the White House' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
