Perry Presidential Punt
William Hill have cut their odds for Rick Perry to become the official Republican Presidential candidate - and also for him to go on to win the race to the White House.
'The Republican momentum seems to be with Mr Perry, who has been attracting a significant number of wagers' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Perry is now 6/4 favourite to win the Republican nomination, overtaking former favourite Mitt Romney, who is now 15/8 second favourite while Hills make Michelle Bachmann 9/2, with Jon Huntsman and Tim Pawlenty both 10/1 and Sarah Palin 14/1. Perry has been shortened from 5/1 to 4/1 second favourite to win the Presidential race with Hills who make Barack Obama 8/13 favourite to win again, with Romney 5/1; Bachmann, Huntsman and Pawlenty all 16/1, Palin 28/1.
