Win a £20 free bet for guessing the goals
Our free-to-enter competition on the weekend's UK domestic action returns, giving you a chance to win a £20 free bet just by guessing the total goals for the weekend.
It looked like it was going to be a record breaking weekend last week with Accrington Stanley kicking off with a 5-3 drubbing of Crewe Alexandra in the Friday night match but the total fell one goal short of a fortnight ago with 185 - an average of 2.76 goals per game.
The Premier League led the way with 3.7 goals per game boosted by Liverpool's six past Hull (including a Fernando Torres hat-trick), Tottenham's five against Burnley, Wigan's shock 3-1 defeat of Chelsea and the seven in Sunderland's Sunday win over Wolves.
The Championship and League 2 also contributed three or more goals per game but celebrations were scarce in League 1 and Scottish Division 2 with less than two per game despite only one goalless draw.
So, to this weekend. The competition is totally free to enter, just make your prediction and we'll put all the correct answers into a draw and randomly select one winner who will receive a £20 free bet in time for it all starting again next week.
It's that simple. Just guess how many goals you think will be scored.
There are only 64 matches this weekend. The first games to be included take place on Saturday (03/10/09) and we'll count all the goals in the leagues below right up to Aston Villa v Man City on Monday (05/10/09)
So the 64 games in question are broken down as follows:
|10 English Premier League||6 Scottish Premier League|
|12 English Championship||2 Scottish Division One|
|12 English League 1||5 Scottish Division Two|
|12 English League 2||5 Scottish Division Three|
