Macca favourite to go as Hills pay out on Lowes

Steve McNamara has been installed 4/5 favourite to be the second Super League coach to leave his post in 2009 after official bookmakers William Hill took the decision to pay out punters who backed James Lowes to be the first coaching casualty.

It’s become increasingly apparent that Lowes is no longer in charge of first team matters at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, despite the way that Warrington dressed things up when Tony Smith arrived.

We’ve therefore decided to pay punters who backed Lowes to be the first coach to leave. But anyone with a bet on another coach should hold on to their tickets because in the interests of fairness, rather than settle them as losers, we’ve decided to roll those bets over to the ‘second coach to go’ market.

We’re well out of pocket as a result, but I’m sure our customers will be happy and of course, that’s what counts.

Second Super League Head Coach to leave his post this season:

4/5 Steve McNamara
13/2 Brian Noble, Shaun McRae
12/1 John Dixon
16/1 Kevin Walters
20/1 Richard Agar
25/1 Brian McDermott
33/1 John Kear
40/1 Terry Matterson
40/1 Tony Smith
50/1 Nathan Brown
50/1 Justin Morgan
80/1 Brian McClennan
100/1 Mick Potter
7/1 No more coaches to leave
