Rhinos face a tough Rovers return
Super League Champions Leeds Rhinos face a tough task at Hull KR tonight which is reflected in the betting odds.
With two comfortable wins under the belts in Super League XIV many would expect the Rhinos to walk over what many regard as Hull's second rugby league side. But Leeds have distractions that could prove costly.
In just nine days time the Leeds Rhinos meet Australian Champions Manly Sea Eagles in the World Club Challenge (win tickets) and it would be hard to deny that their focus will be on that game tonight. Ali Lauititi, Brent Webb and Rob Burrow are all out, perhaps rested ahead of the big game, while Kevin Sinfield and Keith Senior return.
Rovers are missing Chev Walker amongst others but they know how to beat Leeds and should take full advantage of the situation. The score should be close and whether Hull KR can record a win with the six-point headstart is up to you. It's 10/11 for Leeds to win by more than six points, and the same for Hull KR to come within six or win the game.
In the William Hill Super League podcast, Barrie McDermott remains loyal to his paymasters and thinks Leeds will win the game in 80 minutes but could not be drawn to reveal the margin. Terry O'Connor thinks that, with people playing for a spot in next week's squad, the handicap will be beaten and goes for Leeds to win by 12.
William Hill's Tim Pakyurek has gone all out in support of his "beloved" Hull KR and is so confident of a good performance that he's backing the Robins off scratch at the 13/8 available which is his Bet of the Week in the Tipster Challenge.
