Rhinos ready for their favourite time of year

Leeds Rhinos are at odds of 1/4 to ease to victory over Hull KR in the play-offs and cement their place in the final four as they stay on course for another Grand Slam victory.

Hull KR had a fantastic start to the season but could not maintain the momentum and that saw them finally finish fourth which means a trip to Headingley awaits them as they do battle with the mighty Rhinos at 11/4.

KR do welcome back former Rhinos man Scott Murrell who has been out since September 5 along with Shaun Briscoe who could feature despite injuring his shoulder against Wakefield on Saturday.

This may not be enough to stop the Rhinos who are starting at -10 on the handicap at odds of 10/11 with Hull also 10/11 in receipt of 10 points and that margin looks fair with Leeds in rampant form on top of their home advantage.

To be fair to Hull KR, before their defeat to Wakefield last time out they had won five in a row and their last defeat before then was in fact to Leeds when they went down 24-14 and again the handicap looks about right.

KR have nothing to lose so are likely to really get stuck in to Leeds, so the Rhinos will have to be careful not to get caught out and a winning margin of 6-10 in favour of Leeds looks about right at 9/2 or for those who fancy the away side to nick a win, 13/2 is available about a 1-5 point margin of victory.

For a safer bet get on Leeds in the dozen winning margins market where they are 19/10 to win by 1-12 points which looks a great bet as Hull KR should be able to stay well in the game.

For a first try scorer, the returning Keith Senior raises some interest at 14/1 as does Jamie-Jones Buchanan at 25/1 but many punters will be happy to steam in to Ryan Hall at 8/1 to go over first.

Peter Fox and Liam Colbon at 12/1 and 14/1 respectively provide a significant threat for the away side and look the best options if Hull KR are to nick an early try.

With both sides knowing they get a second bit at the cherry it is not the end of the world for either side if they lose but neither will want to play another tough game en route to the semi-finals proper.

Leeds thrive at this time of year and it looks like it will be Hull KR who will have to give it another bash next week.

Leeds to win by 1-12 points - 19/10
