Wakefield the wager with the start

John Kear and his Wakefield Trinity Wildcats face Leeds Rhinos in Friday night's live Super League game.

Now, I'm not saying that Wakey haven't got a wildcat in hell's chance of beating the champions but talk of them recording their first ever Super League win over Leeds at Belle Vue is optimistic, to say the least.

It will be a close game and the 14-points that Wakefield receive in the main handicap betting market is more than enough as Leeds won't win by much more than one score. That's a 10/11 shot but you can get a little bit more security with Wakefield +18 at 8/13.

Wakefield had a great start to the season but have only managed three wins in the last nine games and will be relieved to have playmaker Brad Drew back from injury. His influence will bring Trinity scoring opportunities and keep them in the game. Although very much a provider the 3/1 for him to score a try catches the eye.

Lack of match fitness might see Drew's early enthusiasm fade later on but Wakefield can keep up for forty minutes. The double result of Draw-Leeds pays what looks to be a too big 20/1.

Leeds also have players back and Danny McGuire's freshness, lightening speed and prolific support play make the 12/1 for him to score the first try an attractive punt.

Bet live In-Play on this match from 20:00 and watch on Sky Sports.
